Your medtech accelerator
DayOne Tech is an innovative 12-months program for medtech ventures that brings together universities, corporations, manufacturers, startup founders, research institutes and hospitals to create a dynamic environment to foster innovation. Ventures in the DayOne Tech program profit from the manufacturing industry in the Jura region, where this program takes place.
We prepare you for success
We offer you the network, space, funding and support needed to bring your prototype to the next level. Further, we analyze your current development stage, set ambitious milestones with you for the next 12 months and prepare you for business success.
Non-dilutive funding
Receive up to CHF 100,000 (in cash and in kind) of non-dilutive funding to bring your prototype to the next level. We will also coach you how to apply for additional non-dilutive funding that may be available to you.
Personalized coaching
Benefit from up to 150 hours of world-class coaching and mentoring to bring your prototype to the next level.
Networking
Be part of a strong ecosystem bringing academic partners, corporations, startup founders and hospitals together.
Visibility
Pitch your project at local, national and international events (Demo Day, DayOne conference, etc.) to gain traction and help your startup to raise funds and identify additional strategic partners.
Space
Join us at the Switzerland Innovation Park in Jura and work alongside entrepreneurs, coaches and field experts.
Tailored training
Join our specific training and education events to reinforce your knowledge.
We are looking for you
- You’re an entrepreneur, a scientist or a corporation willing to grow your company in the Canton of Jura
- Your idea or project is innovative in the medical field
- At least one of your founders can be located regularly in the Switzerland Innovation Park Jura and participate in the program and key events

How the application process worked
1. Apply to our selection call
The applicants took 5 minutes to apply for the Tech acceleration program.
2. Pitching to selection commitee
If they met our minimum requirements, they were invited to a 20-minute pitching session in front of our selection committee.
3. Offer and contracting
After selection, we contacted them to make an offer, sign the agreements, and plan the first steps of their acceleration.

FAQs
Do I need to live in Switzerland or in the canton of Jura to apply?
Although you don’t need to currently live in Switzerland nor in the canton of Jura to apply, you need to be willing to settle your startup or at least a subsidiary in the canton of Jura before being accelerated.
What is expected from me during the program?
We do expect your dedication to developing your project or startup. You will have to attend coaching sessions with your experts and pitch sporadically to promote your project. Furthermore, we expect you to meet your milestones and show commitment to the program.
Can I get further support at the end of the program?
We will strive to have a selected number of projects ready to apply for further Innosuisse funds and cantonal support. In addition, you will still be actively part of our ecosystem and will benefit from strong relationships with our corporate and manufacturing partners, startup founders, field experts and coaches, etc. and receive pitching opportunities to promote your technology.
Can I join the medtech accelerator if I am located in the canton of Jura but not in the Switzerland Innovation Park?
Yes, this is possible. However, as we want to have our startups as close as possible to the core of our ecosystem, we will make sure that we can strongly interact with your project, during and after the program, to accelerate it properly.
