Finding funding is an important part of the journey of any startup and without it few survive and almost none feel the rain of cash in our picture above.
Finding the right investor is however not just about cash but also about finding the right people that can support the business in the right way over the lifetime of the company. This can be not just about funding and valuation questions but also in building the business in terms of strategy, people, customer and more.
Andreas Schulze is, an Innosuisse coach and, someone who has been on both sides of the table when it comes to investors gave an introduction and some background on both the mechanics of valuation and fundraising and some tips as to how to think about financing.
We then invited Daniel Dillinger from Redalpine and Franziska Stemmler from Hemex to discuss some of their experiences and the do’s and don’ts of fundraising from the perspective of the investor.
